Our experience with Jeanie and Jeff’s premarital counseling was nothing but amazing! We decided to do the counseling because we realized there were still parts of our relationship that needed to be worked on, especially resolving conflicts. It was great to learn how to navigate the adventure of marriage with a couple that gave us tools that they personally have learned, experienced, used, and are continuing to grow in. Along with the premarital counseling, there were inner healing sessions with Jeanie that helped us so much individually, but also helped us in our relationship greatly. The difference it has made in our relationship has been amazing! We understand how to love each other even through the conflict or hurt, and knowing that there is a way out with great tools. It made a huge impact as Jeanie and Jeff also helped us process through conflicts we came across during the premarital counseling. We really liked when we were given tools to practice during the sessions and also were strongly encouraged to do them on our own in our day to day life; which then allowed us to really see the difference it made in our relationship! We have improved a lot with the help of Jeanie and Jeff, and would absolutely encourage others to do it as well!

Being a part of Jeanie and Jeff’s marriage preparation course has set us up for success, for sure. We wanted to do everything we could to be prepared for marriage, which is why we decided to do this course. We knew it would be beneficial to invite other people into our lives to help us have the appropriate discussions, see our weak points, and be the emotional and relational support that every couple should have when getting married. One of the biggest differences that the marriage preparation made in our relationship is giving us the proper tools to navigate our emotions. Growing up in two different families with different dynamics, two different cultures, and more, it was so important to have the right conversations about our childhoods, and how they affected us emotionally. Because of the course we learned how to use the emotions wheel and we learned how to properly have difficult conversations. We were able to see our blind spots and receive advice on how to handle conflict from Jeanie and Jeff. What we most enjoyed about the process was hearing personal stories from Jeanie and Jeff’s marriage, and being able to connect with other couples who are on the same journey as us. We also loved the videos and the practical tools that they gave us. It was also so fun to learn even more about each other through the discussions and topics. We would highly recommend Jeanie and Jeff to every couple that is planning to be married. They are honest and authentic and genuinely care about helping people have healthy marriages. Our desire is to honor God through our marriage and make a positive impact on the world, and to do that , we knew we needed to go through the proper preparation. We also knew that it was impossible to build a good marriage alone. We needed God in the center, but we also desperately needed other people around us. I think it would be a disservice to not have Jeanie and Jeff involved in your pre-marriage process!

Jeanie and Jeff really helped us to engage with each other and have conversations that we normally wouldn't have with each other. We were able to understand some of the hurts that we experienced when we were younger and some of our triggers and some of our fears and insecurities and just different things that we probably wouldn't talk about on a first date or across the dinner table. If I had to think of, on a scale of 1 to 10, how I would rate this for others, I would give it a 20. It was everything we needed. It gave us the tools, it gave us the language, it gave us the preparation that we needed to be able to walk into marriage confidently.
